December is one of my favorite months. It’s my birthday month as well as the Christmas season. I have a love-hate relationship with surprises…love them…but hate them, too. For me it was disappointing as I got older that my parents no longer surprised me with presents, but would let me just pick them out instead.
But, what was one of the best things to do when I didn’t know what I was getting? Going on a present hunt around the house to see if I could find what my parents had hidden. My brother and I were guilty of searching the attic, my parents’ closet…under their bed. Where ever. Then one year, my parents made the mistake of hiding my presents in my brother’s closet, and his presents in mine. That took the fun out of searching.
How about you? What is one of your favorite childhood Christmas memories?
